How to Take a Screenshot on a Chromebook [FAQ]

If you’re new to using a Chromebook, one of the first things you might be wondering is how to take a screenshot -- while it’s simple, it’s certainly not intuitive if you’re used to a Mac or PC. How to Take a Full-Screen Screenshot on a Chromebook To take a screenshot of your entire Chromebook screen, simply hold down the “Ctrl” key and press the “Switch window” key (this key is at the top, in between your brightness and full screen buttons). When you press them both at the same time, you’ll see an alert in the bottom right corner that your screenshot has been saved. You’ll find your screenshot in your “Downloads” folder. How to Take a Partial Screenshot on a Chromebook If you’d prefer to take a screenshot of a specific, smaller section of your screen, you’ll still press the “Ctrl” and “Switch window” keys, like before. To locate it, open your “Downloads” folder. If you’re interested in increasing your productivity further, check out 12 Tools That'll Keep You Productive Morning, Noon & Night.
