A4: I like starting with a central idea — the why — but if you don’t yet know what that is sometimes mind mapping can help you uncover it by allowing you to see patterns. I just start with a few stickers (content ideas), then I start to come up with associations based on those ideas, and before I even know it, the entire whiteboard is full of stickers. Then I link and organize all ideas. If you’re doing the mind map correctly, you’ll identify many areas that require additional homework — these are things that you wouldn’t have thought about before doing the mind mapping exercise.
