Enrollment underway for Social Media Marketing program. (SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Dec. 7, 2016) -- In the movie "The Intern," Robert de Niro's character realizes he needs social media training in order to keep his business skill sets current and relevant. Scottsdale Community College student Julia Scotto can relate. She recently enrolled in SCC's new Social Media Marketing Program to improve her knowledge and better position herself as a marketable employee. "We quickly learned at my job that social media marketing isn't as easy as it seems, so I went back to school," she said. " Business professionals now can earn a Certificate of Completion in Social Media Marketing by completing courses Introduction to Social Media, Applied Marketing and Social Networking. According to industry estimates, Millennials, also known as Gen Y, will spend more than $200 billion annually starting in 2017, and $10 trillion in their lifetimes. In the SCC program, participants will learn how to identify and utilize key conversation indicators, assess digital analytics for strategic development, and build relationships with current and future customers and followers.
