The majority of these channels appealed to the “let’s have some fun” crowd, with seven out of the ten top creators producing music and entertainment-related content. The other three channels on the leaderboard hailed from one of the most popular genres of YouTube content around: family-oriented programming. Another India-based brand, Sony Entertainment Television’s SET India, claimed the third spot on June’s leaderboard with 731 million video views. Canal, a Brazilian music entertainment label, moved from sixth to fifth with 692 million total views; the brand also claimed this month’s highest average 30-day engagement rate (ER30) at a whopping 2.0x, roughly twice the average ER30 across most brands on YouTube! Entertainment and Music Reigned Supreme

For the most part, YouTube channels which create entertainment and music-related content tend to perform very well in terms of video views as per Tubular’s leaderboards, and this month was no exception. The top performer was Indian music label and movie studio T-Series, which maintained its #1 position from May’s leaderboard by pulling in almost 1.1 billion views in the month of June thanks to more than 22 million subscribers on YouTube. The brand’s most popular video in June was one titled “Jagga Jasoos: Galti Se Mistake Video Song,” which saw more than 53 million views. In the last 30 days alone, T-Series has pulled in roughly 243 million views across videos uploaded to and housed on its YouTube channel.

Another India-based brand, Sony Entertainment Television’s SET India, claimed the third spot on June’s leaderboard with 731 million video views.
