Isentia Buys Chinese Content Marketing Software Platform. Chinese online news media is heavily censored, but that doesn't mean there aren't ample business opportunities within the content marketing space. Content marketing and media database SaaS company China Newswire has reportedly just been acquired by Australia-based Isentia, a publicly-listed content distribution and media analytics technology company based in Sydney. China Newswire is based in Shanghai and provides content marketing, press release distribution, and media analytics reporting its clients. The company also has a database of over 30,000 records of Chinese journalists and key online influencers that is uses to gain more online visibility for its client's content in China. China Newswire CEO Danny Levinson is an American entrepreneur and has been been building tech businesses in China since 1997. Levinson will now be Isentia's Regional Director for Asia. Levinson also worked from 1998-2000 in Beijing as the Internet Development Director for SinoFile Information Consulting Ltd, which was acquired by Isentia in 2008. And he has held positions as CEO at Hong Kong-based cybersecurity company Kovurt and as an investment partner at Matoka Capital. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
